Remote Position
[Remote] Senior Content Marketing Manager
🌍 Remote · United States
💼 Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Instrumentl is hiring a Senior Content Marketing Manager to build and run a content engine that turns nonprofit awareness into pipeline. The role develops full-funnel content and category messaging, coordinates marketing campaigns, supports executive thought leadership, and uses performance data to optimize content.
Responsibilities
- Write compelling content across formats — long-form thought leadership, benchmark reports, one-pagers, ads, social posts & website content
- Have a POV on what types of messaging works best and adjust for each channel including social/digital/SEM/AEO
- Tell our strategic category story — why Instrumentl is becoming the operating system for grant-funded organizations, and why that matters to the people using it
- Map content to funnel stage — awareness, consideration, decision — and build sequences that move nonprofits from first touch to customer
- Build and manage a content calendar coordinating campaigns in partnership with the broader marketing team
- Help executives and other internal thought leaders build a consistent voice and posting cadence on social — developing themes, calendar, and content that reflects each person's POV, not just amplifying the company page
- Understand our audience deeply — who they are, what they do and how we can meet their needs
- Track what's working and what isn't, and use those learnings to optimize
- SEO and AEO: Stay ahead of how generative and agentic search is changing how nonprofits find and evaluate solutions, and create content that moves the needle

- Recent experience with B2B
- Experience owning content across the full funnel, from top-of-funnel editorial to bottom-of-funnel conversion assets like landing pages and ad copy
- Strong command of SEM and SEO fundamentals, plus working knowledge of AEO/GEO and agentic search
- A performance mindset: comfortable with data and quick to turn results into sharper work
- Strong writer with sharp editorial judgment and an instinct for the emotional and practical reasons an audience acts
- Ability to quickly build subject matter expertise in a complex domain through research and SME interviews
- Experience with nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organizations
- Background in grants, fundraising, or nonprofit operations
- Hands-on experience running or optimizing paid digital advertising
- Experience managing freelancers and agency relationships
