[Remote] Senior Corporate Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MUFG Capital Analytics is hiring a Senior Corporate Accountant to support internal corporate accounting activities. The role covers client billing, account reconciliations, general ledger activities, financial reporting, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Payroll accounting, including preparation and reconciliation of payroll-related journal entries and accounts
• Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Managing accruals, prepaids, and recurring accounting entries
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating variances
• Monitoring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Supporting intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Preparing daily cash reconciliations and cash flow forecasts
• Assisting with financial reporting and related supporting schedules
• Conducting ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned
• Supporting external and internal audit requests
• Participating in system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts
• Maintaining and analyzing general ledger accounts
• Supporting compliance, governance, and internal control requirements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related degree
• Strong Excel skills a must
• Experience with month end close process, accounts receivable
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Excellent analytical skills, and strong planning and organizational skills
• Be able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail and understand the need for accuracy
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate clearly with senior management
• Have the proven ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; a self-starter
