[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Centex Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support its Air Force government contract work. The role focuses on building a governed Air Force Data Mesh Environment through scalable data engineering, modern application development, secure data access, and collaboration with technical and mission stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable ETL and ELT pipelines, data models, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, dbt, and Python
• Develop application features and APIs with TypeScript, React, and Node.js that make governed data usable
• Apply SQL, warehouse platforms, validation, observability, and automated tests throughout the data lifecycle
• Work with product, DevOps, infrastructure security, and mission stakeholders to turn requirements into maintainable software
• Design secure access and handling for sensitive data consistent with project security requirements

Skills

• US Citizen
• Active Secret clearance
• Demonstrated experience spanning both data infrastructure and full stack application development
• Strong TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, warehousing, and orchestration experience
• Experience with API design, containerization, and engineering quality practices
• Python data tools, stream processing, or event driven architecture
• Production ML integration, RAG or LLM applications, and MLOps
• Experience with CUI, NIST controls, STIGs, or DoD authorized environments
