Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is partnering with a high-growth professional services organization to hire a Financial Operations Manager. The role focuses on partnering with operational leaders to improve forecasting, profitability, and overall business performance in a project-based professional services business.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with operational leaders to improve forecasting, profitability, and overall business performance
Skills
- 7+ years of experience across FP&A, project finance, or financial/business operations
- Current or recent leadership experience at the Manager or Director level
- Background within engineering, architecture, design, consulting, or a similar professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of project financials, including WIP, backlog, utilization, revenue forecasting, project margins, and fee structures
- Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting
- Ability to partner directly with operational and business leaders
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Power BI or Tableau
- Deltek Vantagepoint/Ajera, BQE Core, or similar platforms
- ASC 606 knowledge within a project-based environment
- Experience supporting a rapidly growing organization
- Exposure to AI-enabled finance, reporting, or analytics tools
