[Remote] Senior Financial Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. A leading medical institution is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide technical and general accounting support. The role focuses on bank reconciliations and analyzing financial information, accounting processes, and business systems to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and general accounting assistance to the Controller, primarily completing bank reconciliations for the current year
• Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and business systems to identify issues, prepare reports, recommend improvements to accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, and advise department personnel on accounting-related matters

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with working knowledge of fund accounting and healthcare accounting
• Experience managing and maintaining accounting systems and producing financial reports for medical groups and physician networks
• Working knowledge of computerized general ledger and subsidiary accounting systems, including the flow of financial information and the ability to recommend system enhancements and modifications
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications to analyze financial data and prepare reports, presentations, and communications
• Experience with Workday
• Experience with Managed Care Plans
