Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Atlassian is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features. The role supports the full engineering stack, builds dynamic user experiences, and delivers secure, reliable, maintainable code while collaborating across product, design, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex debugging with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliability
- Guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features
- Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to deliver the right solutions
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to influence product strategy while shipping well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code, responding to real-world product usage, and resolving bugs and production issues
- Work with designers to build dynamic user experiences
- Support the full engineering stack within a complex system
Skills
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Debugging, production support, and complex issue resolution
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Code reviews, documentation, and quality assurance best practices
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Working with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS with modern frameworks such as React, AngularJS, or Vue
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Server-side development with Java and Node.js using object-oriented design
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Testing frameworks and practices such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: A/B testing, data-driven development, and front-end architecture
- Three (3) years of experience with/in: Building and integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL, and basic data and numerical analysis
