Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pentasia is seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to own production infrastructure, solve reliability and scalability challenges, and build internal tools that improve engineering productivity. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, distributed systems, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure and production systems
- Work extensively with Kubernetes and distributed systems
- Improve reliability, scalability, monitoring, and developer productivity
- Build and maintain internal infrastructure tooling and automation
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and proactively prevent future problems
- Work closely with software engineers in a highly technical, collaborative environment
Skills
- +9 years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering with an infrastructure focus
- Solid software engineering and programming skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes / EKS
- Experience with Kafka or similar distributed messaging systems
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure
- Comfortable working with production-critical distributed systems
- Highly autonomous
- Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis is a plus
