Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hampton North is partnering with a fast-growing, member-based consumer subscription company to hire a Senior iOS Engineer. The role owns the iOS subscription and payments experience, including StoreKit2 architecture, purchase flows, entitlements, paywalls, payment issue resolution, and collaboration across server, product, design, and data teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the iOS subscription and payments stack end to end, from purchase and restore flows to entitlements, offers, and paywalls
- Lead StoreKit2 architecture and handle the tricky lifecycle edge cases (upgrades, downgrades, refunds, billing retry, and more)
- Partner with the server team to keep entitlements accurate across client and backend
- Work with product, design, and data on pricing and paywall experiments, from concept through launch
- Contribute to architecture, performance, and testing across a large iOS codebase
- Be the go-to escalation point for member payment issues
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar through code review and clear specs
Skills
- 7+ years of iOS development with strong Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit skills
- Expert, native StoreKit2 experience, having built it end to end in production at least twice
- Production Stripe subscriptions experience on a B2C product
- Experience with App Store Server Notifications V2 and server-side subscription correctness
- A track record of shipping scaled consumer apps and leading projects from concept to launch
- Strong product sense and an AI-forward mindset
