[Remote] Senior Manager, Business Development - Protein Science - West Coast

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WuXi Biologics is seeking a Senior Manager to grow new customer acquisition and business opportunities for its Global Biologics Research Division. The role focuses on business development for protein science through customer outreach, consultative selling, relationship management, market intelligence, and collaboration with marketing and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Generating new business from new customers through high level of customer outreach and contact including customer visits and extensive networking activities
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and effectively promote WuXi Biologics’ technical capabilities and specialties. Provide solution based consultative selling to meet customer needs
• Maintain existing customers through trust-based relationships and high quality customer support
• Collaborate with marketing, project managers and production team to develop strategies that promote customer acquisition and retention
• Collect market intelligence with information gathering and trend analysis on the industry, pricing, and competition
• Collect, analyze and track competitors’ information and business move, help make departmental strategic plan
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• PhD degree is required
• Experience with in vivo and/or NHP required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with customers and key stakeholders, good conflict management skills
• Demonstrate ability to translate strategy into action, strong influence, negotiation, and presentation skills
• High energy level with strong drive to constantly improving; self-motivated
• Strong team player
• MBA is also preferred
• Knowledge with the antibody drug discovery, recombinant protein expression & purification is a plus
• Experience in sales or business development is a plus
