Remote Position

[Remote] Senior Product Manager (Hospice Services)

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AlayaCare is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy, discovery, and design for its US Hospice market. The role owns the roadmap and end-to-end product experience, partners across engineering, design, and business teams, and helps advance AI-assisted product development and team practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision and roadmap for the US Hospice market, connecting user needs, business goals, market context, platform reusability, and technical feasibility into a coherent direction
  • Drive end-to-end product discovery: problem framing, customer research, hypothesis testing, concept design, and solution validation — owning the quality of insight and the rigor of the process
  • Own the full design process — journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and handoff — delivering solutions that are scalable, intentional, and technically grounded
  • Translate validated concepts into structured specifications — including market/domain models, acceptance criteria, guard rails, and non-functional requirements — written with the precision needed for cross-functional alignment and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Design and build lightweight prototypes (e.g., prompt flows, interactive wireframes) using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, Figma AI) to validate problem-solution fit before major investment
  • Partner with engineering to define quality and acceptance standards for AI-assisted features, ensuring outputs meet production expectations on usability, performance, and reliability
  • Define KPIs and leading indicators for product performance, user experience quality, and delivery health — using product analytics, user feedback, and AI-generated insights to continuously refine your domain
  • Establish clear priorities and trade-off recommendations across competing initiatives, making the reasoning behind decisions visible to stakeholders and leadership
  • Maintain a view of competitive solutions, AI-assisted development patterns, and emerging UX practices relevant to your domain — translating relevant trends into pragmatic product investments
  • Serve as the primary product point of contact for stakeholders, partners, and customers in your domain, influencing cross-team roadmap decisions with clarity and confidence
  • Drive strong release readiness and post-release learning practices — ensuring shipped experiences meet quality, usability, and value expectations, and that learnings inform medium-term direction
  • Mentor and elevate Associate and Intermediate team members through design reviews, structured feedback, and example-setting in discovery, requirements quality, and design craft
  • Contribute to and help evolve the AlayaCare design system — establishing patterns, principles, and documentation that scale across teams
  • Apply systems-thinking to solve problems that span domains or teams
  • Create and deliver internal enablement (documentation, demos, training) so cross-functional teams can confidently leverage shared design patterns and AI-assisted workflows

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., B.Comm, etc.) in UX/Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 6–8 years of combined experience in product management, with demonstrated ownership across both disciplines in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Deep knowledge of the US Hospice market, with an understanding specifically of the expected requirements needed within a Hospice EMR to be marketable
  • Ability to prototype and visualize solutions to communicate, align, and scope projects, and to gather, interpret, and synthesize qualitative customer feedback into clear product and experience decisions
  • Fluency in design and prototyping tools and product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel)
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, Figma AI, AI prototyping aids) — or a strong, demonstrated ability to rapidly adopt them — applied to discovery, prototyping, and delivery workflows
  • Ability to write structured, precise product specifications including domain models, acceptance criteria, guard rails, and non-functional requirements suitable for complex, AI-assisted development contexts
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end product discovery and design independently, from problem framing through post-launch iteration
  • Strong product judgment and advanced problem-solving skills in high-ambiguity, high-complexity situations
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex product and design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to influence without authority
  • Experience mentoring junior product managers with evidence of raising team capability over time
  • Prior contribution to, or strategic ownership of, a design system at the component or pattern level
  • Ability to analyze trends in AI, automation, and UX and translate them into grounded, actionable product investments
  • Experience in home health, homecare, healthcare, or medical devices is an asset
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset
