Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade microservices and modern web applications for a client. The role focuses on developing APIs, contributing to technical design, ensuring application quality and performance, and supporting CI/CD, DevOps, and production troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, and build responsive web applications with TypeScript, AWS, and SQL/PLSQL
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
- Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability, writing unit, integration, and automated test cases
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, support DevOps activities, and troubleshoot production issues to provide timely resolutions
Skills
- Hands-on experience developing applications with TypeScript
- Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on AWS
- Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL for data access and database programming

- Experience designing and developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs across internal and external systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to code quality and development best practices
