[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Plant Intelligence

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 1AI Energy, the employing entity for 1 Arc Power, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build software for designing, commissioning, and operating utility-scale solar and storage plants. The role develops end-to-end products, adds automation and AI to plant workflows, and turns plant data into actionable dashboards and insights.

Responsibilities

• Build products end to end: interactive interfaces, APIs and the services behind them
• Build tools across the plant lifecycle: design, commissioning and operations
• Bring automation and AI into how plants are designed and run
• Turn plant data into dashboards and insights people act on

Skills

• 6+ years of software engineering, building full-stack production applications
• Strong TypeScript and React, and Python
• APIs, data modeling and SQL databases
• Complex, data-heavy interfaces such as maps and visualizations
• Algorithmic problem solving with real-world constraints
• Bias for action and end-to-end ownership
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineers and commercial teams
• Power or renewable energy industry experience
• Solar performance modeling tools: PVsyst, SAM or similar
• Machine learning for optimization: surrogate models, Bayesian optimization or similar
• Optimization: linear or mixed-integer programming, or heuristic search
• Data engineering: data lakes, pipelines and streaming
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform or similar
• Geospatial data and GIS
