Remote Position
[Remote] Social Media & Content Manager
๐ Remote ยท United States
๐ผ Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. June is hiring a Social Media & Content Manager to build its social presence and own social strategy and execution across brand and employer branding channels. The role also creates content and communications for internal and external audiences, engages the community, and tracks performance to improve content.
Responsibilities
- Own our social media strategy and day to day execution (writing and posting) on LinkedIn, and later on Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms. This covers both brand content and employer branding content that shows what it's like to work at June
- Create content tailored to each platform, including copy, images and short form video, and run the content calendar end to end, from ideation to publishing
- Monitor trends and community conversation, and turn relevant moments into timely content that fits our brand
- Engage with our audience in real time: respond to comments and DMs, moderate conversation, and build genuine community around the brand
- Take on light writing projects beyond social as needed: website copy, sales and marketing collateral, blog posts, internal messages and similar
- Track performance across channels, test new formats, and use the data to keep improving what we post and how
- Pick up new projects as the company's needs evolve. In a startup of 20 people priorities shift, and we need someone who shifts with them
Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing social media, ideally including time at a startup or another fast moving, lean environment
- Strong writing skills across contexts (social copy, internal messages, lightweight external content) and a good ear for tone and voice
- An AI native approach that you use to do more with less
- Deep platform expertise, especially on LinkedIn and ideally also on X, Instagram and TikTok, including each platform's best practices and cultural nuances
- Working proficiency with content creation and scheduling tools (Canva, CapCut, native platform tools, social schedulers) and basic analytics platforms
- A data driven approach: you look at metrics regularly and adjust course based on what you see
- Excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams, tight turnarounds and shifting priorities without much oversight
- Native level English with exceptional writing and editing across different brand voices and cultural contexts
- A startup mindset: adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable taking on new kinds of work as the company's needs change
- This role is open to candidates based in the US or EU who are authorized to work there
- Prior experience at an early stage (seed or Series A) startup
- Experience writing internal communications or long form content such as newsletters or blog posts
Benefits
- Remote work (US or EU based)
