About The Role GrabJobs is seeking highly motivated and talented software engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our core platform, focusing on building scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions that improve the hiring experience for both employers and job seekers. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining various components across our technology stack, including data ingestion systems, inference pipelines, and customer-facing interfaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a passion for AI-native engineering, and a keen eye for product quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and frontend developers, to deliver impactful features that align with our strategic goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing company at the forefront of HR technology innovation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in AI-native engineering practices, including proficiency with Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode. Extensive background in building large-scale data-intensive systems capable of handling millions of concurrent operations. Deep understanding of distributed systems principles such as streaming, batching, backpressure, recovery, and data consistency. Strong performance engineering skills, including complexity analysis, profiling, and optimization under resource constraints. Modern systems programming experience, preferably with Rust, and strong working knowledge of Python for service development and inference pipelines. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent), and event streaming platforms like Kafka. Proficiency in frontend development, particularly with React, to deliver user-facing functionalities. High level of ownership, initiative, and ability to independently identify and complete impactful work. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
Obsessively focus on customer problems, delivering solutions with speed and significant impact rather than technical complexity alone. Develop and ship features across the entire stack, including agents, backend systems, infrastructure, and frontend interfaces. Create internal agents that automate repetitive engineering tasks, promoting efficiency and consistency across the team. Define and establish AI-native engineering practices, including context management, permissions, and tooling necessary for agents to perform effectively. Design, implement, and operate distributed systems using AWS, EKS, Clickhouse, and Kafka, ensuring they meet production SLAs. Make strategic technical decisions related to storage schemas, API contracts, and scalable patterns suitable for multi-tenant environments. Collaborate with research and systems-internals engineers to translate their work into reliable, production-ready software solutions. Continuously evaluate and optimize system performance, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security in a high-demand environment.
