Remote Special Counsel

Our client a prominent national law firm focused exclusively on representing management in labor and employment matters is seeking a Special Counsel to join its Virtual Office.This role is ideal for experienced employment attorneys seeking flexibility while maintaining a robust litigation practice.About the Role :This primarily remote position centers on handling administrative charges attorney demand letters and employment litigation for a broad client base including clients with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).In this role you will lead case strategy oversee attorneys and support staff and manage matters from inception to resolutionincluding drafting depositions hearings and trials.While travel is minimal some local appearances may be required.You will work with a collaborative team of partners and attorneys supported by dedicated paralegals and a shared secretarial pool.The focus is on delivering high-quality legal work efficiently without business development requirements or non-billable hour pressure.Key Responsibilities :Lead and manage single-plaintiff litigation matters and administrative agency proceedingsDraft and review pleadings legal memoranda and client communicationsConduct depositions represent clients at hearings mediations and trialsSupervise junior attorneys and support staffCollaborate with senior attorneys and firm leadership on legal strategyOccasionally assist with class action PAGA or other complex employment mattersQualifications :JD from an ABA-accredited law schoolMinimum 7 years of employment law and litigation experienceActive bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S.jurisdiction (must reside in the state where they are a member of the bar)Strong writing analytical and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentPreferred :Experience at a law firmFamiliarity with EPLI-covered mattersAdmission to the California barThis is a unique opportunity to maintain a sophisticated legal practice with the flexibility of a virtual model and a strong support structure.Fee - 25% 12-month pro-rated guaranteeEmail resumes to JenVirtual Office Special CounselExperience Level :Senior-level attorneys (partner equivalent) capable of independently managing casesLocation :Must be admitted to the state bar where they live (preferably residing in a state where we have an office)In-Person Requirements :Occasional appearances for hearings and related proceedingsBillable Hours Expectation :Approximately hours annuallyCompensation :Ranges from $185000 to $200000 depending on experience and workloadAdditional Highlights :Eligible for standard attorney benefits and a 10% bonusNo business development obligationsEmphasis on sustainable workloads and reduced billable hour requirementsUnlimited paid time off (PTO)Key SkillsEclipse,HR Administration,Fabrication,Core Banking,Entry LevelEmployment Type :Full TimeExperience :yearsVacancy :1.
