Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VITS Consulting Corp is seeking an experienced SQL Developer focused on Azure data engineering. The role develops and optimizes data pipelines, supports data integration and migration initiatives, and helps ensure data quality, security, and reliability across enterprise data systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory V2
- Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database objects
- Support Master Data Management (MDM), data integration, data transformation, and data quality initiatives
- Implement and maintain data processing solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Scala, and Python data libraries
- Work with Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, and modern data warehousing solutions
- Develop and maintain Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Hub integrations
- Use Azure DevOps extensively for source control, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and project collaboration
- Support hybrid cloud implementations and enterprise data integration across on-premises and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business reporting and analytics
- Participate in data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Apply data security, quality engineering, monitoring, and operational best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance where required
Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data analytics, SQL development, or a related role
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Azure Data Factory V2
- 1+ year of experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Python data libraries, or Spark Scala
- 1+ year of experience developing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database objects
- Extensive experience using Azure DevOps in project environments
- Experience working on at least one hybrid cloud implementation project
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, SQL Database, Azure SQL Database, and Azure data warehousing technologies
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns
- At least 1 year of experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
- Knowledge of Power BI report and dashboard development
- Experience with Azure Service Bus and Event Hub
- Strong understanding of data quality, security, and data operations
- Experience with data migration projects using Azure Data Factory
- Strong Master Data Management (MDM) experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical capabilities
