[Remote] Sr Analyst, Actuarial Services

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Evolent Specialty Services, Inc. is hiring a Senior Analyst, Actuarial Services to support its specialty care business through actuarial analysis, forecasting, and modeling. The role develops financial insights and tools, communicates findings to leaders and partners, and collaborates across Analytics, Finance, and Clinical teams to improve financial performance and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain medical expense and revenue budgets and forecast for Evolent’s specialty risk business
• Prepare clear exhibits and communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions from executive leadership and partners
• Manage multiple projects at different stages, ensuring deliverables support strategic objectives and remain on schedule
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance through data-driven insights
• Build actuarial models from scratch for use across multiple teams and projects
• Streamline processes to improve efficiency and reliability of key deliverables
• Review work of junior analysts

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related field
• Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of four actuarial exams
• Two or more years of experience in a health actuarial setting
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and VBA
• Experience with financial forecasting and trend analysis
• Familiarity with Power Query and Power BI
• Experience building actuarial models or analytical tools from scratch
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot
