Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Colossus Technologies Group is a growing SaaS company hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Platform team. The role owns delivery and technical direction for the core platform, guides architecture and technical decisions, improves scalability and reliability, and develops the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of senior software and platform engineers
- Own delivery and technical direction across the core platform
- Work closely with engineers on architecture and technical decisions
- Improve scalability, reliability, and performance as usage grows
- Partner with product and engineering leadership on priorities
- Help hire and grow the engineering team
- Keep the team focused on shipping while making the right longer-term technical investments
Skills
- Experience managing software engineering teams
- Strong background with cloud-based SaaS products
- Experience with large-scale data platforms or distributed systems
- Strong backend and cloud architecture knowledge
- Comfortable getting into technical discussions with senior engineers
- Experience scaling systems as product usage and data volume increase
- Experience in a startup or growth-stage technology company is a plus
