[Remote] Sr. Revenue Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Suna Solutions is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant contractor to support the Finance team with financial reporting, analysis, and audit readiness. The role focuses on proprietary product sales, gross-to-net reserve accuracy, revenue accounting processes, and cross-functional finance support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze proprietary product sales and related financial transactions
• Prepare, review, and reconcile gross-to-net (GTN) reserve accounts, including product returns, chargebacks, and rebates
• Review RSM reports and GTN forecasts, identifying, analyzing, and explaining significant variances
• Prepare monthly GTN summaries and presentations for Commercial and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams
• Review and post revenue-related journal entries and reconcile associated general ledger accounts
• Lead accounts receivable (AR) aging reconciliations and resolve debit memo and collection issues with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and customers
• Coordinate with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Accounts Payable (AP) to support payment processing
• Support external audits and internal reviews by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal controls within assigned areas of responsibility
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation and analysis as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues, improve processes, and support business priorities

Skills

• The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to balance high-level financial analysis with hands-on accounting execution
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
• Seven or more years of relevant accounting experience
• An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reconciliation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented approach
• Proficiency with general office information systems, Microsoft Office applications, and accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and related data analysis functions
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Experience with revenue accounting, gross-to-net reserves, and financial reporting preferred
