[Remote] Staff Accountant

National Storage Tank, Inc. is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting. The role handles accounting transactions, reconciliations, close activities, financial records and reporting, and supports audits, compliance, project cost monitoring, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Accountant is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting the company’s day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting
• This role includes processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities
• The Staff Accountant will help maintain financial records, support budget tracking, and assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Additional responsibilities may include monitoring project costs, supporting audits, maintaining compliance with accounting policies and relevant regulations, and collaborating with internal teams to address accounting inquiries and improve financial processes

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis, including journal entries, month-end close processes, and preparation of basic financial statements
• Capability to use accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., QuickBooks or similar systems, spreadsheets, and other financial applications)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while following established policies and procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA or progress toward certification)
• Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or related industries, and familiarity with project-based or job-cost accounting
