Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | North Carolina

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A role is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services to support students with visual impairments. This position requires delivering specialized instruction and assessments remotely, ensuring accessible learning and developmental progress for visually impaired students.

Responsibilities

Include Conducting telehealth sessions to assess and support students with visual impairments. Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired learners. Collaborating with families, school staff, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support. Utilizing assistive technology and resources to facilitate remote learning. Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed records in compliance with educational standards.

Qualifications

And Desired Experience Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Experience delivering telehealth or remote educational services. Strong knowledge of assistive technology for visually impaired students. Ability to develop effective instructional strategies and IEPs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
