[Remote] Technical Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Techgene Solutions is seeking a Technical Manager to lead engineering teams delivering scalable, secure cloud applications using Python and AWS. The role oversees solution design, architecture, delivery, and engineering standards while promoting AI-assisted practices to improve developer productivity and software quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality software delivery
• Review solution designs and provide recommendations for scalable, maintainable, and robust implementations
• Design and develop backend applications using Python and AWS services
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve coding efficiency and software quality
• Oversee architecture, code reviews, security, performance, and engineering standards
• Manage delivery milestones, resource utilization, and technical dependencies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align priorities and manage expectations
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, deployment practices, and production readiness
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and team productivity

Skills

• Proven experience in technical leadership, team mentoring, and solution design
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools for solution design, coding, debugging, testing, and code optimization
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, application security, and production deployment practices
• Proficiency in Python for backend development
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture
• Practical experience using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer, Cursor, or equivalent tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, automated testing, and documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
• Ability to identify and implement innovative ideas and process improvements
• Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and processes
• Experience with Go (Golang)
