Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Seaglass Technology Partners, LLC is seeking a Technical Writer to support employee benefits communications. The role focuses on drafting clear, accurate, and compliant Summary Plan Descriptions, benefit guides, and other technically detailed documents while collaborating with consultants and organizing content for easy employee access.
Responsibilities
- Experience drafting Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other technically detailed benefit communications that explain complex concepts in clear, employee-friendly language
- Project management
- General research and fact checking
- Partner with technical consultants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity when drafting legally required documents under ERISA
- Structure documents such as: SPDs and benefit guides so information is logically organized, clearly labeled, and modular, enabling employees to quickly locate answers or extract sections for explanation using AI tools
Skills
- Experience drafting Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other technically detailed benefit communications that explain complex concepts in clear, employee-friendly language
- Project management
- General research and fact checking
- Strong writing and editing skills help you communicate clearly and effectively across audiences and formats
- Working knowledge of employee retirement plan and health & welfare plan fundamentals
- Bachelor's degree (English, Marketing/Communications or related field preferred)
