[Remote] Technical Writer I

NUWAVE Communications, Inc is seeking an AI-assisted Technical Writer I to create and maintain product and internal process documentation. The role involves writing, editing, researching, formatting, and fact-checking documentation while collaborating with technical teams and using AI tools with human review.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing product documentation and internal process documentation
• Assist with growth to manage simple to moderate complexity documentation projects
• Write, edit, and format product documentation and internal process documentation, using AI tools as a standard part of the drafting and editing process
• Collaborate with technical teams to gather and research information about products and processes
• Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand for the end user while supporting content strategy and translation requirements
• Review, fact-check, and refine AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, tone, and clarity. We value and prioritize human-in-the-loop AI-enabled workflows to create top quality final products

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or similar role
• Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools in a writing, editing, or publishing workflow, with a clear understanding of where human review and judgment are required
• Provide samples of your favorite work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with prompt engineering or iterating on AI outputs to improve accuracy and fit for specific documentation needs
