Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. smartdept. is hiring a UI/UX Designer to support a growth and transformation consultancy serving ecommerce, retail, and DTC brands. The role focuses on designing websites, landing pages, and checkout experiences, and collaborating with creative and growth leads to improve conversion and deliver developer-ready designs.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma
- Design landing pages and website redesigns for ecommerce brands
- Improve checkout and conversion flows with the CRO team
- Build and maintain design systems and reusable components
- Prepare clean handoff files for developers
- Explain design decisions clearly to the team and, when needed, the client
Skills
- Hands-on UI/UX experience on ecommerce sites, landing pages, or web products
- Expert-level Figma skills (required)
- Responsive and mobile-first design experience
- A portfolio showing web and UX work with your process
- Comfort using AI tools to work faster
- Strong communication and the ability to present design direction
- Shopify or Webflow experience
- User testing and A/B testing
- Accessibility best practices
- Adobe Creative Suite
