[Remote] Vice President, Product Design

The Vice President of Product Design will lead the product design function, oversee and scale the design organization, drive user-centered innovation, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact products and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision for the product design function, ensuring it aligns with the company’s overall mission and objectives
• Lead and scale a high-performing design organization, mentoring and developing design leaders and fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and growth
• Oversee the development and execution of design strategies that drive innovation, enhance the user experience, and deliver measurable business results
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, marketing) to ensure design is integrated into all aspects of the product development process
• Champion the value of design thinking across the company, advocating for a user-centered approach in product development and strategic decision-making
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of design initiatives, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes and optimize processes
• Drive the development and scaling of a generative design system to ensure consistency, efficiency, and innovation across the product
• Identify opportunities for new design processes, tools, and technologies that enhance the company’s competitive advantage

Skills

• 15+ years of experience in product design, with at least 10 years in a leadership role managing large design teams
• Experience working with SaaS / Fintech platforms
• Track record of integrating AI and emerging technologies into organizational strategy and operations to accelerate innovation and scale
• Experience successfully  leading design teams in developing innovative, customer-focused products at scale
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and design systems
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to influence product strategy and drive business growth
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and grow a high-performance design team
• Strong communication and influence, with the ability to advocate for design at the executive level and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Strategic thinker who balances visionary design leadership with operational efficiency and execution
• Deep understanding of design metrics and data-driven decision-making, using insights to continuously improve design outcomes
• Passion for user experience and a relentless focus on delivering world-class design solutions that drive business impact
• Understanding and personal mastery of how designers use AI successfully in the agentic development process
