[Remote] Virtual Sales Account Manager - Specialty Ingredients

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Univar Solutions is a global distributor of chemicals and ingredients. The Virtual Sales Account Manager will build customer partnerships, grow specialty ingredient portfolio spend, manage a virtual territory, and execute business plans to achieve sales and financial goals. The role also provides customer technical support, develops account relationships, and documents activity in Salesforce.com.

Responsibilities

• Improve and expand Univar Solutions position within assigned accounts using a consultative and in-depth selling within the account
• Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities within customer accounts
• Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer
• Maintain and expand knowledge of products, services, competitive activities, and other general information of interest to customers
• Provide vital information to allow local teams including Purchasing, and Operations to insure accurate inventory levels and overall customer satisfaction
• Use accepted Univar Solutions Account Management processes and conduct calls via telephone, WebEx, MS Teams to achieve a financial target
• Develop and implement business plans to achieve financial goals and objectives
• Document all account activity in the CRM system (Salesforce.com)

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong discovery skills to understand customer needs and drive new business growth
• Intellectual curiosity and thrive through self direction
• Strong interpersonal skills including ability to influence decision making process across stakeholders (written, verbal, listening, presentation)
• Excel in customer negotiations and uncovering and closing growth opportunities
• 2+ years of sales experience preferably in B2B
