Remote Volunteer Training & Development Specialist Cougs 4 Kids

Help Cougs 4 Kids prepare volunteers to serve underserved youth and young people safely, consistently, and effectively in remote programs. The volunteer Training & Development Specialist will create and improve practical onboarding and continuing-learning resources for mentors, facilitators, program leaders, and support volunteers. Responsibilities: Assess role-specific training needs with program leaders Develop accessible onboarding guides, short courses, checklists, scenarios, and facilitator materials Cover privacy, boundaries, inclusion, accessibility, virtual safety, documentation, and escalation Coordinate review by the appropriate subject-matter owner before release Maintain version control, source notes, review dates, and completion records Facilitate virtual training or prepare others to deliver it Gather feedback and improve materials based on participant needs Avoid presenting unapproved material as legal, medical, mental-health, financial, or safeguarding advice Qualifications: Experience in learning and development, instructional design, education, volunteer training, human resources, compliance, or nonprofit programs Strong research, writing, editing, facilitation, and project-management skills Ability to translate policies into clear, inclusive, practical learning At least 21 years old and willing to complete screening Comfort with virtual learning and collaboration tools This is a remote, recurring role available within the United States.
