Role Description The Repairer role at Nest Properties is a contract, remote position responsible for performing and coordinating a wide range of property maintenance and repair tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities may include diagnosing issues reported by tenants or property managers, planning repair work, sourcing materials, and executing or overseeing minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and basic improvements. The Repairer will document work performed, update maintenance records, and communicate clearly with the property management team regarding timelines, costs, and any follow-up work needed. This role may also involve virtual inspections, reviewing photos or videos of issues, and providing guidance to on-site personnel or vendors to ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in general property maintenance and basic repairs (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, or fixtures). Ability to diagnose issues from reports, photos, or videos and develop practical repair plans. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple work orders and deadlines. Clear, professional communication skills for collaborating with tenants, property managers, and external vendors. Comfort working in a remote capacity with digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication. Commitment to safety practices, building standards, and quality workmanship. Previous experience in property management, facilities maintenance, or a similar trade-based role is highly beneficial. Reliable access to internet and necessary tools or equipment appropriate to the scope of contracted repair work.
