Research Statistician for Survey Analysis
I'm looking for an experienced research statistician to assist with analyzing data from a research study with approximately 100 participants. My dataset includes both open-ended survey questions, where themes have been partially identified, and closed-ended questions with numerical and categorical responses. I'm not a statistician, so I need someone who can guide me through the process and explain the recommendations in plain language.
- *Scope of work:**
- Review research questions, survey, and existing dataset. - Recommend an appropriate analysis plan. - Help finalize the coding of open-ended responses and convert themes into quantitative variables where appropriate. - Clean and organize the dataset in SPSS. - Conduct appropriate statistical analyses to examine relationships between variables. - Provide the cleaned dataset, SPSS files, codebook, statistical output, and a plain-language explanation of the results. I'd prefer to begin with a brief consultation and review of the data before agreeing on the full scope of work.
- *Ideal qualifications:**
- Experience with SPSS and survey research. - Experience with qualitative coding or quantitative content analysis. - Knowledge of appropriate statistical tests and research methodology. - Ability to explain statistical concepts and findings clearly to a non-statistician. Please describe your relevant experience, how you would approach this project, and what you would need from me to get started.
