Sanford TA - PUBPOL 590S: Research Methods for Education Policy

Job Description

Please note that this is a part-time Teaching Assistant (TA) position. The anticipated number of hours per week is approximately 5 (no more than 70 hours total over the course of the semester). Duties may be front-loaded to the beginning of the semester (in which case weekly hours would likely be closer to 10 hours per week) to better match with the flow of student assignments in the course.

The Teaching Assistant (TA) for PUBPOL 590S will assist with: 1) Grading and providing feedback on student assignments 2) Entering grades in Canvas and assisting with Canvas course management 3) Other administrative and course support tasks as assigned

Please note that there are no in-person requirements (i.e., attending lecture, holding office hours) for this teaching assistantship.

Job Requirements

For this role, students must be organized, have intermediate knowledge of STATA, and be committed to helping students in the course succeed.

Students must have completed at least two statistics (or econometrics) courses and earned a B+ or higher grade.

Work-study eligible students highly encouraged. If you have previous experience as a TA for the Sanford School of Public Policy, you will be eligible to receive an increased pay rate of $21.00 per hour.
