SAP EWM Architect
Job Title: SAP EWM Architect Location: Washington, DC Work Mode: Remote with 20% Travel Employment Type: As per project requirements Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen, Green Card, or H-1B visa holders may be considered Industry: Aerospace & Defense / Discrete Manufacturing Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Architect to lead the design, architecture, and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience migrating multiple warehouses and plants from classic SAP Warehouse Management (WM) in ECC to SAP EWM on S/4HANA Private Government Cloud. The candidate must possess strong expertise in both embedded and decentralized EWM, cross-functional integrations, and Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or discrete manufacturing environments. Previous experience with SAP America is required.
Key Responsibilities
Design and configure SAP S/4HANA solutions aligned with client business requirements and warehouse management processes. Define the target-state architecture and transition roadmap for SAP EWM implementations and transformations. Lead the migration of multiple warehouses and plants from classic SAP WM (ECC, on-premises) to SAP EWM on S/4HANA Private Government Cloud. Architect integrated warehouse management solutions across Transportation, Manufacturing, Quality Management, MRO/Aftermarket Service, and Plant Maintenance. Provide architectural expertise in both Embedded EWM and Decentralized EWM. Evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and recommend scalable, integrated SAP solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery. Develop architecture documentation, solution designs, presentations, and implementation roadmaps. Ensure alignment with SAP product roadmaps and enterprise transformation objectives. Support project planning, design reviews, and implementation activities.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience as an SAP EWM Architect or in a comparable SAP solution architecture role. Previous experience with SAP America is mandatory. Strong hands-on expertise in SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA. Proven experience migrating multiple warehouses and plants from SAP WM on ECC to SAP EWM on S/4HANA Private Government Cloud. Experience with both Embedded EWM and Decentralized EWM. Strong integration experience with Transportation, Manufacturing, Quality Management, MRO/Aftermarket Service, and Plant Maintenance. Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or Discrete Manufacturing industry experience. Strong understanding of SAP roadmaps, target-state architecture, and transitional planning. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation development skills. Willingness to travel approximately 20% as required.
