Baer is looking for SAP S4 ABAP Technical Lead for a 9 month remote project. Title: SAP S4 ABAP Technical Lead Location: Remote (Must be based in US) Duration: 9 months Rate: All-inclusive Alignment: W2 or C2C

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP S/4HANA ABAP Technical Lead with 10+ years of SAP experience and a proven track record of leading at least two Brownfield implementations/conversions to S/4HANA. Description Lead the ABAP technical workstream for SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. Drive and personally perform hands-on ABAP development, custom code remediation, and S/4HANA code adaptation. Lead technical activities for Brownfield ECC to S/4HANA conversions. Manage and guide ABAP developers, providing technical direction and oversight. Work directly with customers and effectively manage challenging stakeholders and strong personalities. Develop and maintain technical plans, documentation, progress reports, and remediation trackers. Identify technical risks, resolve issues, and ensure deliverables are completed on time. Balance technical leadership and project responsibilities with hands-on coding and remediation work. Requirements 10+ years of SAP experience. Successfully participated in or led at least 2 SAP S/4HANA Brownfield implementations/conversions Strong, hands-on SAP ABAP development experience. Proven hands-on experience with custom code remediation and S/4HANA adaptation. Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA, ATC checks, and S/4HANA simplification items. Previous experience leading technical teams or workstreams. Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to handle demanding personalities professionally. Excellent planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to take ownership, drive activities independently, and lead by example while remaining hands-on technically.
