School Partnerships Consultant — After-School & STEM Programs

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Company: Tatum Games / Tatum Tech Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid / Field-Based) Job Type: Part-Time, Initial 3-Month Engagement with Extension Opportunities Compensation: $1,500/month plus performance-based commissions About Tatum Tech Tatum Tech is a technology education and game development accelerator that provides students with hands-on experience in coding, AI, game development, and digital product creation. In 2025, we engaged more than 1,000 participants and supported the development of over 350 digital projects. We are expanding our programs through paid partnerships with school districts, charter schools, and after-school organizations throughout Southern California.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven School Partnerships & Business Development Manager to secure paid contracts for Tatum Tech's after-school, STEM enrichment, and technology education programs. The ideal candidate has established relationships with LAUSD, surrounding school districts, charter networks, or after-school providers and understands how these organizations fund and purchase educational programming. This is a revenue-generating role. We need someone who can turn relationships into signed, paid contracts—not simply conduct outreach.

Responsibilities

Identify and secure paid partnerships with school districts, charter networks, and after-school providers. Leverage existing relationships to connect with school administrators, expanded-learning directors, and purchasing decision-makers. Identify applicable funding sources, including ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and other educational program budgets. Pursue direct contracts and subcontracting opportunities with established after-school providers. Present Tatum Tech programs, develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and close contracts. Maintain an active sales pipeline and participate in biweekly check-ins and monthly performance reviews.

Qualifications

Proven experience securing paid school partnerships or educational service contracts. Established relationships with Southern California school districts, charter networks, or after-school organizations. Knowledge of school funding, procurement, and expanded-learning programs. Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills. Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently. Preferred: Experience with LAUSD, Beyond the Bell, ELO-P, ASES, or district-approved after-school providers. Performance Expectations We are a small, growing company that values hard work, accountability, and results. During the initial 90 days, we expect the selected candidate to: Build a qualified pipeline of at least 75 prospective school and after-school partners. Generate approximately 15–20 qualified meetings or substantive decision-maker conversations. Advance at least five opportunities into serious contracting discussions. Submit at least three qualified proposals. Work toward securing at least one paid partnership or service agreement. Performance will be evaluated based on documented progress, the quality of opportunities, and contracts secured, recognizing that school procurement timelines vary.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $1,500 per month for an initial three-month engagement ($4,500 total), based on an agreed limited-hours schedule. Performance-Based Commissions: Earn additional compensation on eligible revenue collected from paid educational service contracts you originate or help secure: 7% on the first $150,000 collected annually. 6% on the next $350,000. 5% on the next $500,000. 3% on amounts exceeding $1 million. Commission tiers are progressive. Eligibility and payment terms will be established in a written agreement. The initial engagement may be extended in additional three-month periods based on performance and business needs. Compensation and engagement terms are subject to applicable legal requirements.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and briefly answer: Which Southern California school districts, charter networks, or after-school providers do you have existing relationships with? Have you personally secured paid educational service contracts? What were their approximate values? How would you approach securing Tatum Tech's first three paid school partnerships? We are looking for someone who knows the decision-makers, understands school funding, and has a track record of securing paid contracts. Pay: $1,500.00 per month Work Location: Remote
