Why This Role Matters
The Food Safety & Healthcare Assurance Customer Service Manager is the linchpin that connects our clients to the full spectrum of brighthush’s services. By owning a defined portfolio of accounts across both Food Assurance and Healthcare Assurance, you become the primary commercial advocate for our clients, ensuring seamless end‑to‑end service from initial inquiry to contract renewal.
In this role, you blend transactional excellence—fast, accurate quoting and order processing—with strategic account ownership. Your success will be measured by client retention, conversion rates on quotations, revenue growth within your portfolio, and the overall quality of service delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Relationship
- Own a balanced portfolio of Food Assurance and Healthcare Assurance clients, ranging from mid‑size single‑site companies to large multi‑site enterprises.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact, establishing a structured contact plan that includes regular check‑ins, video meetings, and business reviews for high‑value accounts.
- Understand each client’s certification roadmap—audit cycles, scope changes, new sites, and product categories—and proactively anticipate their needs.
- Collaborate closely with technical services, scheduling, and operations teams to resolve client issues, secure delivery dates, and safeguard the client experience.
- Escalate early when required, ensuring that client concerns are addressed swiftly and professionally.
- Drive renewal, recertification, and multi‑site expansion initiatives, while cross‑selling additional standards and services to maximize account value.
- Handle client complaints and commercial disputes factually and solution‑oriented, coordinating with the Commercial Director to maintain brand integrity.
Quoting & Sales Execution
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotations and proposals for certification, audit, training, and advisory services across both business lines.
- Qualify inbound requests from web, marketing campaigns, referrals, and existing clients, converting them into signed agreements.
- Negotiate within the approved pricing framework, escalating exceptions when necessary, and ensuring all contractual details are accurate before handover to scheduling and operations.
- Manage renewals and multi‑year certification cycles proactively, preventing any lapse in surveillance or recertification audits.
- Consistently meet or exceed quotation turnaround, conversion, and revenue targets for your assigned portfolio.
Pipeline, CRM & Reporting
- Maintain meticulous client records, opportunities, and pipeline data in the CRM, ensuring high data hygiene and complete documentation of every interaction.
- Track order status, win/loss outcomes, renewal dates, and revenue forecasts, with clear segmentation between Food and Healthcare segments.
- Provide regular reporting to the Commercial Director on portfolio performance, conversion rates, and at‑risk accounts.
- Contribute to the monthly commercial reporting cycle and KPI reviews for both business lines.
Cross‑Business‑Line Development
- Identify and pursue cross‑selling opportunities between Food Assurance and Healthcare Assurance portfolios, such as a food manufacturer entering the supplement market.
- Support marketing campaigns, webinars, and industry events with structured, timely lead follow‑up.
- Share market intelligence—including competitor positioning, pricing trends, regulatory changes, and client feedback—with the commercial organization.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team to share best practices and contribute to overall commercial objectives.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Economics, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B inside sales, business development, or account support experience.
- Experience in lead qualification, quoting, order processing, or account management.
- Knowledge of the food industry, audit schemes, food certifications, and/or the health and wellness industry (dietary supplements, cosmetics, personal care/OTC) is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience within a certification body, audit firm, laboratory, or consulting organization is a plus.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
