Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will:

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal data‑security protocols while handling sensitive health information.
• Resolve data discrepancies by researching missing or incomplete information, interpreting clinical abbreviations (e.g., SIG codes), and updating records accordingly.
• Communicate with patients via inbound calls, texts, and emails to clarify medication details, verify insurance coverage, and provide general assistance.
• Coordinate with prescribers and pharmacy staff to confirm prescription authenticity, dosage instructions, and refill requests.
• Document all interactions and data updates in a timely manner, ensuring audit trails are complete and accurate.
• Escalate complex cases or “outsider oddballs” to senior supervisors, providing clear context and recommended actions.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic PC proficiency: launching applications, navigating files, using the mouse, and printing reports.
