About the Role: Senior Customer Success Manager – Church Technology Experience
As the inaugural Senior Customer Success Manager for our Church Technology Experience team, you will partner directly with the Head of Customer Experience to shape how brighthush serves churches at scale. You will own the full customer journey—from onboarding and training to long‑term relationship management—across a growing portfolio of faith communities. Your work will lay the foundation for a scalable, high‑impact customer success function that supports our mission of empowering ministries worldwide.
Why This Role Matters
In the early days of a product, every interaction shapes the future. Your insights will influence product roadmaps, support processes, and the overall customer experience. You will be the bridge between pastors, church staff, and our engineering team, ensuring that technology serves ministry, not the other way around. If you thrive in a fast‑moving environment, love building systems from scratch, and want to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Onboarding – Lead the onboarding execution for new churches, securing access, coordinating technical setup with engineering, creating onboarding templates, and ensuring a smooth transition from access to delivery.
- Customer Relationship Management – Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of churches, conducting monthly check‑ins, strategy sessions, and training engagements.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner with the Head of Customer Experience on sales calls, kickoff meetings, data practice conversations, and strategy workshops.
- Process Design & Documentation – Translate customer needs into scalable playbooks, support workflows, training best practices, and ministry‑specific strategies.
- Operational Backbone Development – Identify opportunities for automation or delegation (including AI tools) versus tasks that require a human, pastoral touch.
- Technical Liaison – Act as the translator between customers and engineering, ensuring clear communication of solutions, status updates, and expectations.
- Travel & In‑Person Engagements – Attend periodic in‑person training sessions and customer visits alongside the Head of Customer Experience.
- Continuous Improvement – Record and review customer calls to surface insights, refine processes, and elevate the overall customer experience.

- Curiosity & Continuous Learning – Eager to understand why and how things work, always seeking ways to improve processes and customer outcomes.
- Strategic & Process‑Oriented Thinking – Designs structured systems that bring order to complexity, translating strategy into actionable plans.
- Problem‑Solving & Resilience – Tackles challenging issues, works collaboratively to find optimal solutions, and persists with a strong work ethic.
- Adaptability & Scrappiness – Thrives in an early‑stage environment where playbooks evolve in real time and you help write them.
- Credibility & Influence – Leads discussions confidently with executive pastors and church leadership, balancing humility with authority.
- Customer‑Centric Mindset – Places the needs of churches at the forefront, ensuring technology serves ministry, not the other way around.
