Remote Position

Senior Account Manager

๐ŸŒ Remote ยท United States ๐Ÿ’ผ Full-time

About Talexy Talexy helps senior living communities get more family inquiries, tours, and move-ins. We work with 35-plus communities across the country, we only work in senior living, our clients are the owners who run them, and every senior living partner we've ever signed is still with us. We're founder-led, fully remote, and growing fast enough that client relationships now need an owner of their own. The role You own our client relationships. You're the daily point of contact for every community we work with, you run onboarding for every new one, and you make sure what we promised each client ships on time and to standard. Strategy is set with you, by the founder and our delivery lead; your job is to carry it out, extend it inside each account, and keep every client glad they signed. Retention is your number. This is a founding seat. We're hiring with Director of Client Services in mind: as the book grows to 60 to 100 accounts, account managers report to you and the role grows into it, if you turn out to be the person for it. The path is paved. Walking it is on you. What you'll own Client relationships. Check-ins every 2 weeks with each client, and the texts and calls in between. Our clients are owners, often older, and they'd rather call than email. Onboarding. You run the onboarding meeting for every new client, collect what we need, and track the build through launch. Account changes. Every client request becomes a task for our delivery team the same day, and you see it through to done and confirm back to the client. Quality control. A quick daily dashboard scan, a deeper look at half the accounts every other day so every account gets real eyes 3 times a week, and a weekly scorecard on delivery against each account's plan. Holding the plan. You keep delivery on schedule and escalate early when something slips. Strategy inside the plan. You hear the plan at a high level and apply it per account without needing a rigid document. You bring options, not blockers. The playbook. You turn the decisions we make into a written playbook and keep it current. Retention. When an account wobbles, you keep it calm, get the facts, bring them to the team, and deliver the fix. A week in the seat Daily: a 15-minute dashboard scan, client messages answered, open tasks chased, notes logged. A short sync with the founder every day at first, weekly once we're running. Every other day, 6 days a week: a deeper look at half the accounts, so every account gets real eyes 3 times a week. Weekly: a delivery scorecard to the founder. Every 2 weeks: a check-in with each client, booked for 20 minutes, given up to an hour. New clients: about 15 hours of onboarding work in their first month. Quiet weeks happen. They go to audits, the playbook, collecting testimonials and case studies, and prepping the next onboarding. What you bring 5 to 8 years in agency account management, at least 2 at the senior account manager or account supervisor level. You've carried 20 or more accounts at once and kept a production team on plan without doing the production yourself. You've kept a client who wanted to leave. You're comfortable on the phone with business owners who are older than you, and you write at a level that goes to a client unedited. You're organized to a fault. Nothing you own falls through a crack. You're not precious. This is a founding seat. Some weeks the most useful thing for the company won't be in this description, including rolling up your sleeves on execution. You do it, and nobody has to ask twice. Senior living or healthcare experience is a plus, not a requirement. A great account manager from another industry beats an industry insider who hasn't run accounts. What this job is not Not sales. No lead qualifying, no pitching, no closing. The founder sells. Not production. You hold the plan; the delivery team builds it. Not a role where strategy is handed to you in a binder. You'll hear it, understand it, and run with it. Responsiveness, said plainly This is an all-day job with a lot of gaps, not a 9 to 5, and the pay reflects that. It's 6 days: Monday through Friday, Saturday off except for a client emergency, and Sunday is 30 to 60 minutes of account checks at the laptop, no calls, no meetings. You own the client, so a Saturday emergency is yours when it happens. It's rare. It's still yours. Our clients text and call, and a quick reply is most of what keeps them happy. During the workday, a client message is the top priority: a reply within 10 minutes when nothing urgent is in hand. Evenings: a reply within the hour. It doesn't happen often. Weekends: same day, ideally within the hour. Sleeping in once in a while is fine. A reply is not a fix. "Got it, we'll handle this tomorrow" is the right answer at 8 PM. The fix lands the next business day. The occasional unplugged weekend is fine with notice. Say it ahead of time and we cover you. Compensation and setup 95,000 to 120,000 dollars a year including bonus, depending on book size. Here's how it's built: a base of 72,500, plus 3% of what every account you carry pays us each cycle, plus a retention bonus of up to 10,000 a year. Uncapped. Your pay grows with every account you carry and every account that grows. Losing one costs real money, and only controllable losses count: the founder makes that call from the record, since every client call is recorded and every message is logged. Finish the year with us with no controllable losses and you won't make less than 95,000. Full-time, salaried, remote anywhere in the US, Eastern hours. Company phone for client texts and calls. You'll work directly with the founder, every day, from day 1. Where this role goes You're the first account manager here, which means you build the function. We're hiring with the next step in mind: as the book grows, the next account manager reports to you, then the one after that, and you become Director of Client Services, running 3 to 4 account managers and 60 to 100 accounts, with the hardest accounts, the escalations, the playbook, and the team. That's a 12 to 18 month path, and it only happens for the person who makes sense for it. The seat is designed for it. Proving you're that person is the job. How to apply Hit Apply and send 2 things: a link to your resume and a 2-minute video on why this role. No cover letter. If we're a fit, the next step is a 60-minute paid exercise. We pay 150 dollars for the hour. Then a conversation with the founder.
