Senior Accountant
Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll keep financial records accurate, support reliable reporting, and strengthen accounting processes. You’ll apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate accounting practices, and financial compliance requirements while handling confidential information with care. Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Premier Construction Software upkeep and accuracy. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and accounts payable automation. Analyze financial data using spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, Excel formulas, and Excel data analysis. Support financial software and accounting systems, data entry, double-entry bookkeeping, and debits and credits.
Qualifications
Accounting and finance experience, including accounting, financial concepts, analysis skills, and financial compliance. Construction Accounting experience is preferred, but not necessary. Experience with accounting software and systems; relevant platforms may include Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, and HRIS (human resources information systems). Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, Excel formulas, and 10-key typing. Strong confidential information handling, accuracy, and organization; experience with accounts payable automation is a plus.
