Part-Time Senior Accountant / CPA 20–30 hours/week | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid/Remote Potential Want to do meaningful public accounting work without the traditional public accounting schedule? Join a growing sole proprietor CPA firm on the ground floor! Our clients are community-owned, mission-focused businesses, whose operations are based on the 7 cooperative principles. No prior co-op knowledge is required, but a passion for social justice will be an advantage. We're looking for a CPA who wants interesting part-time work, direct client relationships, and genuine flexibility. What you'll do: · Manage financial statement review engagements from planning through report issuance. · Prepare and/or review corporate tax returns, primarily Forms 1120 and 1120-C. · Serve as a primary contact for assigned clients. · Work collaboratively with accounting support in India. What we're looking for: · CPA with experience in public accounting. · Financial statement review and/or corporate tax experience preferred. · Strong communication and client-management skills · Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments · Interest in working with cooperative, community-owned, and mission-driven organizations Synergy isn't built around maximizing billable hours.
