Senior Analyst, Semiconductor Markets

Job Description:

• Conduct in-depth research to generate, maintain, and expand databases for semiconductor components and end-applications
• Use industry knowledge and analytical skills to create market forecasts reflecting evolving semiconductor industry dynamics
• Explain the rationale behind forecasts to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with semiconductor analysts to align assumptions and ensure consistency across projects
• Partner with equipment analysts and other Omdia teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and build a cohesive market view
• Establish Omdia as a definitive source of semiconductor industry insight and innovation
• Contribute to a research agenda supporting industry thought leadership
• Respond to colleague and client inquiries about datasets, methodologies, and assumptions
• Build client relationships, understand their needs, and evolve the research offering
• Own the AMFT model and datasets and adapt them to changing market conditions
• Transform data structures and incorporate new research areas driven by customer demand
• Partner with sales and product development teams to identify opportunities, support renewals, and evolve the research offering

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry or research analysis
• Strong understanding of semiconductor components and the forces shaping the market
• Ability to synthesize insights from multiple sources, connect the dots, and think strategically about market trends and dynamics
• Proven ability to build relationships across teams and work collaboratively
• Confidence forming and expressing opinions on industry trends, backed by robust data and analysis
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables
• Passion for exploring new research areas, uncovering trends, and delivering insights that drive decision-making
• Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively
