Senior Backend Engineer (CFG)
Description
We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Customer Focus Group (CFG) — a technical team that bridges engineering and the commercial side of the product. CFG members handle development, architecture, product, and direct customer interaction: translating customer needs into the product, building new features, and resolving pressing technical issues. The role needs a strong backend builder who can also take a holistic, product-and-customer view, with a focus on infrastructure, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Must-have skills
- Backend architecture — microservices, API design, and design patterns (deep understanding)
- Node.js / TypeScript proficiency (or other relevant backend languages)
- SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience scaling systems for high-volume data processing
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services — serverless computing, managed databases
- 5+ years of backend development, with a strong focus on customer-centric products
- Proven problem-solving with a track record of performant, scalable solutions
- Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent collaboration and communication with globally distributed teams
Nice-to-have skills
- Security / AppSec domain familiarity (OX is a security product)
- Customer-facing / pre-sales technical experience
- Experience bridging product and engineering
5+ years backend development, deep understanding of microservices, API design, Node.js/TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, agile practices, and excellent collaboration skills.
