Job Title: Senior Business Data Analyst Location: Remote Strong BA experience Working directly with business/users and stakeholders Conducting discovery sessions and gathering/documenting requirements Translating business needs into functional/reporting requirements Strong communication and storytelling skills Data & Visualization Hands-on experience developing reports and data visualizations Experience translating business requirements into dashboards/reports/visual solutions Ability to work with users to understand what information they need and how it should be presented Data Visualization & BI Tools: Expertise in Microsoft Power BI with ability to develop interactive, scalable dashboards and analytics reports. SQL & Data Querying: Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, joining, and aggregating large datasets across relational databases. Data Modeling & Management: Familiarity with metadata frameworks and enterprise data management practices. Strong Business Analysis experience – Hands-on experience performing broader BA responsibilities, working directly with business users, understanding business processes, identifying needs and pain points, and driving requirements from discovery through delivery. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering – Strong experience conducting discovery sessions, interviews, and working sessions; asking the right questions; gathering/documenting requirements; and translating business needs into clear functional and reporting requirements. Data Visualization & Storytelling – Hands-on Power BI/data visualization experience with the ability to understand what information users need, how it should be presented, and how to tell the story through the data, rather than simply developing visuals from predefined specifications. Business-to-Technical Translation – Ability to serve as the bridge between business users and technical teams, translating business requirements into data/reporting requirements and working effectively with Data Engineers, architects, and BI developers. Strong Communication & Facilitation Skills – Excellent verbal/written communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. The candidate should be comfortable leading stakeholder discussions, challenging or clarifying requirements when necessary, and presenting information to both business and technical audiences.
