- Strategic account planning: Craft multi‑year account, renewal, and network expansion plans informed by customer health metrics, utilization trends, contract positioning, competitive landscape, and financial exposure.
- Lead complex renewals and RFP/RFQ cycles: Own the end‑to‑end renewal process for multi‑service, multi‑location accounts, including executive business reviews, pricing negotiations, and contract execution.
- Design and negotiate value‑add strategies: Develop and negotiate solutions for service migration, network redesign, relocation, decommission, and contract restructuring that balance customer outcomes with pricing discipline and margin optimization.
- Forecast and mitigate churn: Analyze churn risks, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Billing, Legal, and Operations to secure long‑term account value.
- Cross‑functional coordination: Facilitate complex decision‑making across multiple internal teams, ensuring seamless delivery of services and alignment of commercial objectives.
- Commercial judgment and revenue stewardship: Provide senior‑level insight on credits, early termination liabilities, portability, rate increases, renewal pricing, and accurate revenue recognition.
- Mentorship and knowledge sharing: Coach junior CAMs, contribute to renewal playbooks, refine negotiation practices, and uphold operating standards that elevate the entire account management function.
