Role Overview: The Technical Bridge Between Vision and Reality

The Senior Customer AI Engineer – Token Factory & Production Optimization Lead is a pivotal role that blends engineering, delivery, and customer success. You will be the technical steward of our customers’ journey from proof‑of‑concept (PoC) to fully‑deployed, production‑grade AI workloads on the brighthush platform. Your expertise will ensure that the solutions promised during pre‑sales translate into reliable, high‑performance, and cost‑efficient deployments.

Key attributes of this role:

  • Technical partner, not a sales role – you drive value and expansion through engineering excellence.
  • Proactive performance champion – you anticipate and resolve bottlenecks before they impact customers.
  • Operational focus – you excel at ensuring stability, scalability, and cost‑efficiency rather than designing systems from scratch.

Remote work is fully supported across Europe, giving you the flexibility to collaborate with a distributed team while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Production Journey: Guide customers from PoC to production rollout, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Lead PoC to Production Transition: Translate experimental setups into scalable, production‑ready workloads, tailoring infrastructure to meet performance and cost targets.
  • Ensure Deployment Stability and Scalability: Monitor and optimize latency, throughput, and resource utilization across GPU clusters and distributed services.
  • Drive Time‑to‑Production and Time‑to‑Value: Implement best practices, automation, and continuous integration pipelines that accelerate delivery.
  • Guarantee Technical Success: Act as the primary technical contact for production incidents, orchestrating incident response and root‑cause analysis.
  • Understand Customer Architectures: Deeply analyze use cases, data pipelines, and inference workloads to recommend optimal configurations.
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor key metrics—latency, throughput, GPU utilization, and cost—and implement tuning strategies.
  • Proactive Bottleneck Resolution: Identify performance regressions, memory leaks, or network contention before they impact customers.
  • Trusted Technical Partner: Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Best‑Practice Guidance: Share knowledge on inference frameworks (vLLM, TensorRT, Triton, etc.) and deployment patterns.
  • Translate Challenges into Solutions: Convert complex technical issues into actionable, repeatable solutions that can be shared across the organization.
  • Risk & Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, develop playbooks, and implement preventive measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance platform features, tooling, and documentation based on real‑world feedback.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide structured, data‑driven feedback to Product and Infrastructure teams to influence roadmap decisions.
  • Opportunity Identification: Spot upsell or expansion opportunities by understanding customer growth trajectories and technical needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Hands‑on Experience with Inference Frameworks: vLLM, TensorRT, Triton, or equivalent.
  • Deep System Knowledge: Solid grasp of cloud or on‑prem infrastructure, distributed systems, and high‑load application patterns.
  • AI/ML Workload Proficiency: Familiarity with large language models, vision models, or other inference‑heavy workloads.
  • Performance Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve latency, throughput, and resource contention issues.
  • Customer‑Facing Experience: Proven track record of working directly with engineering or ML teams in a technical capacity.
  • Communication Skills: Clear articulation of complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ownership Mindset: Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Structured Problem‑Solving: Proactive, solution‑oriented approach to incident management and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GPU‑accelerated workloads and AI infrastructure management.
  • Background in solutions engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or technical support within B2B environments.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for AI deployments.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost‑management tools and optimization strategies.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of GPU architecture and memory management.
  • Expertise in distributed inference frameworks and model serving.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Adaptability to fast‑changing environments and evolving customer needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of AI/ML trends.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

At brighthush, your career trajectory is shaped by the impact you deliver. We offer:

  • Mentorship from senior engineers and product leaders.
  • Access to cutting‑edge research labs and internal hackathons.
  • Opportunities to contribute to open‑source projects and industry standards.
  • Clear promotion paths into technical leadership, product management, or platform architecture.
  • Regular training programs on emerging AI technologies, cloud security, and system design.

Work Environment & Culture

Our culture is built on:

  • Fast‑moving Innovation: Rapid iteration cycles and a bias toward action.
  • Bold Thinking: Encouragement to challenge the status quo and propose daring solutions.
  • Meaningful Impact: Your work directly influences how enterprises deploy AI at scale.
