Why This Opportunity Matters
The landscape of faith‑based technology is evolving at a breakneck pace. Churches are increasingly looking for partners who understand both the spiritual mission and the technical demands of modern ministry. As the first dedicated Senior Customer Success Manager at brighthush, you will shape the customer experience from the ground up—designing onboarding frameworks, building long‑term relationships, and translating strategic goals into scalable processes. Your work will directly influence how thousands of congregations engage with their members, manage growth, and measure impact.
In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers and our product teams, ensuring that every voice is heard and every challenge is addressed. You will become the trusted advisor for our church partners, helping them unlock the full potential of our platform and driving measurable outcomes for their ministries.
Role Overview
As Senior Customer Success Manager, you will own the entire lifecycle of our church clients—from initial contact through renewal—while championing a culture of continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making. You will collaborate closely with sales, product, engineering, and marketing to align customer needs with our roadmap, and you will lead the creation of best‑practice playbooks that scale across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Onboarding Leadership – Own the full onboarding journey for new church clients, from securing access and coordinating technical setup to delivering training and ensuring a smooth transition to self‑service.
- Strategic Partnership with Leadership – Collaborate closely with the Head of Customer Experience, participating in sales calls, kickoff meetings, data‑practice discussions, strategy sessions, and training engagements to align customer needs with product vision.
- Independent Customer Engagement – Conduct monthly check‑ins, relationship management, and strategy refinement for an assigned portfolio of churches, ensuring satisfaction and adoption.
- Bridge Between Customers & Engineering – Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering tasks, follow up on deliverables, and reduce the frequency of direct engineer involvement in support calls.
- Process Documentation & Playbook Development – Create onboarding playbooks, support workflows, training best practices, and ministry‑specific strategies that enable the team to scale efficiently.
- Automation & Operational Backbone – Identify opportunities for automation or AI‑driven solutions, balancing human pastoral care with technology to maximize efficiency.
- In‑Person Training & Engagement – Travel periodically for on‑site training sessions and customer visits, building rapport and gathering real‑world insights.
- Data‑Driven Insight Generation – Leverage analytics to track adoption, engagement, and impact metrics, presenting findings to both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Customer Advocacy & Feedback Loop – Champion customer voices in product meetings, ensuring that new features and improvements reflect real‑world needs.
