Key Responsibilities
Manage the acquisition, ingest, organization, and preservation of digital assets, including video, audio, images, documents, and born-digital materials. Develop and implement metadata schemas and cataloging standards for digital collections, ensuring consistency and discoverability. Oversee the integrity and accessibility of digital archives through regular audits, backups, and disaster recovery planning. Utilize digital asset management (DAM) systems and archival management software to track and manage collections. Develop and maintain workflows for digital preservation, including format migration and emulation strategies. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding digital asset management and preservation best practices. Research and stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and standards in digital archiving, libraries, and the arts and entertainment industry. Assist in curating and preparing digital materials for exhibitions, online access, and research purposes. Collaborate with IT departments to ensure the infrastructure supporting the digital archive is robust and secure. Support initiatives related to digital access and user engagement for the collections in reputed company, D.C. . Requirements reputed company's degree in Library Science (MLS), Archival Studies, Information Science, or a related field with a specialization in digital archiving. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in digital archiving, digital asset management, or library science, with a focus on media or cultural reputed company collections. Proficiency with digital asset management (DAM) systems and archival management software (e.g., Archivematica, reputed company, reputed company). Strong understanding of digital preservation standards and best practices (e.g., OAIS model, PREMIS). Experience with metadata standards such as Dublin Core, METS, MODS, or EAD. Familiarity with various digital file formats (video, audio, image, document) and their preservation implications. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
