About brighthush – Pioneering Patient‑First Oncology Innovation

brighthush is more than a biopharmaceutical company; it is a global catalyst for change in the oncology arena. With a portfolio that spans solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and cutting‑edge immuno‑oncology therapies, we are dedicated to accelerating the delivery of life‑changing treatments worldwide. Our mission is simple yet profound: to bring science to patients faster, safer, and more meaningfully than ever before. In an era where healthcare is evolving at breakneck speed, we recognize that the way science is communicated must evolve in tandem. At brighthush, we envision a future where every interaction—whether in the clinic, at a conference, or online—is meaningful, compliant, and scientifically rigorous.

Why This Role Matters

The Senior Director of Global Oncology Medical Affairs & Omnichannel Customer Experience Innovation sits at the intersection of medical strategy, scientific communication, customer insights, and emerging technologies. You will translate high‑level strategy into actionable engagement plans that resonate with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients across the globe. By designing data‑driven customer journeys, you will amplify the impact of our scientific messaging, streamline content reuse, and unlock new efficiencies through AI and analytics. Your leadership will directly influence the quality of care, the speed of therapeutic adoption, and ultimately, patient outcomes. In short, you will be the architect of a new era of medical affairs—one that is as dynamic and patient‑first as the science we champion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience Planning & Omnichannel Orchestration

  • Define Engagement Architecture: Map out how Medical Affairs can deliver science around customer needs, critical moments, and measurable outcomes, ensuring every touchpoint is purposeful.
  • Collaborate with Global & Regional Teams: Translate strategy, insights, and key messages into practical engagement plans across relevant channels, fostering alignment across geographies.
  • Design Holistic Journeys: Integrate digital, field‑enabled, congress, third‑party, web, email, social, and other touchpoints into coordinated, relevant scientific interactions that feel natural to the HCP.
  • Apply Behavioral Insights: Use segmentation, preferences, and performance data to refine relevance, sequencing, and personalization, turning data into actionable experience design.
  • Champion Continuous Feedback Loops: Establish mechanisms for real‑time capture of HCP and patient feedback, ensuring the experience evolves with emerging needs.

2. Scalable Content & Engagement Enablement

  • Partner with Content Functions: Work closely with Scientific Communications, Publications, Medical Information, and Field Medical to align content with journey needs and compliance standards.
  • Advance Modular Content: Champion reusable, discoverable, and channel‑adaptable content that maintains scientific rigor and compliance while enabling rapid deployment.
  • Define Content Requirements: Specify channel fit, adaptation needs, measurement approaches, and reuse opportunities for each engagement plan, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.
  • Streamline Activation: Coordinate Medical/Legal/Regulatory reviews, channel readiness, and AI‑driven content optimization to accelerate go‑to‑market timelines.
  • Drive Content Governance: Implement governance frameworks that balance speed, quality, and compliance across all content assets.

3. Innovation, Measurement & Continuous Optimization

  • Pilot Emerging Capabilities: Test AI‑supported workflows, analytics dashboards, personalization engines, and new engagement models to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Establish Success Metrics: Create closed‑loop learning frameworks that tie insights, data, and business priorities to optimization decisions, ensuring measurable impact.
  • Translate Learnings into Recommendations: Provide clear, actionable guidance to improve journeys, planning, roadmaps, and resource allocation, fostering a culture of data‑driven decision making.
  • Balance Innovation with Compliance: Ensure all initiatives meet operational excellence, governance, and regulatory standards, safeguarding the integrity of our science.
  • Lead Thought Leadership: Represent brighthush at industry conferences, webinars, and peer groups, sharing best practices and emerging trends.

4. Capability Building, Playbooks & Change Management

  • Develop Frameworks & Playbooks: Build scalable templates that enable consistent, customer‑centered engagement across franchises and markets, reducing duplication of effort.
  • Codify Best Practices: Translate insights from the Omnichannel Center of Excellence into practical, adoptable guidance that can be rolled out globally.
  • Lead Education & Workshops: Drive omnichannel acumen across Medical Affairs teams through training, coaching, and change‑management initiatives, ensuring widespread adoption.
  • Define Governance & Partnership Models: Establish clear ways of working that balance efficiency, compliance, and scientific integrity, fostering collaboration across functions.
  • Mentor Emerging Leaders: Identify and develop high‑potential talent within Medical Affairs, providing coaching and career guidance.

5. Leadership & Influence

  • Serve as a functional leader for omnichannel customer experience planning, mentoring peers and partners through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, data‑driven decision making, and cross‑functional collaboration, inspiring teams to exceed expectations.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders in Commercial, Regulatory, and Strategy, ensuring Medical Affairs perspectives are embedded in all business decisions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, or MD) with 10+ years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Medical Affairs, digital strategy, omnichannel engagement, or customer experience roles.
  • Deep understanding of Medical Affairs, scientific communications, non‑promotional engagement, and compliant content development.

  • Experience translating strategy and customer insights into engagement plans, journeys, playbooks, or scalable operating models.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable frameworks.
  • Customer‑experience mindset with expertise in integrating content, channels, data, field interactions, timing, and measurement.
  • Demonstrated success working across global, regional, and local stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Working knowledge of modular content, content operations, digital engagement, analytics, and customer data concepts.
  • Innovation‑oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach to testing new methods while maintaining quality, feasibility, compliance, and measurable value.

  • Proficiency in internal productivity suites, omnichannel engagement platforms, CRM, analytics dashboards, CMS/DAM systems, Medical/Legal/Regulatory review platforms, HCP insights platforms, proprietary medical information platforms, third‑party media platforms, and generative AI tools.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Visionary: Ability to see the big picture while managing day‑to‑day execution.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Maker: Proficiency in turning analytics into actionable insights.
  • Regulatory Savvy: Deep understanding of global compliance frameworks governing medical communications.
