Senior Director of Operations

Role Description The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities across the organization to ensure efficiency, service quality, and alignment with strategic business goals. In this full-time remote role, the individual will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and establish performance metrics to drive operational excellence. Key responsibilities include managing budgets and resource allocation, monitoring operational KPIs, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. The Senior Director of Operations will collaborate closely with executive leadership to support long-term planning, operational risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role also involves fostering a culture of accountability, clear communication, and customer-centric service delivery throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, strategic planning, and performance monitoring. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for operational improvements. Candidates should possess effective Team Management capabilities, with experience leading diverse remote teams, coaching staff, and promoting collaboration. Candidates should possess sound Budgeting skills, including financial planning, cost control, and resource allocation aligned with organizational goals. Candidates should possess a commitment to high-quality Customer Service, ensuring operational practices support a positive client experience. Relevant qualifications include extensive experience in operations leadership, preferably in IT consulting or professional services environments. Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and stakeholder management skills, experience with process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and proficiency with operations and project management tools. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; advanced degrees or certifications in operations or management are a plus.
