Senior Director of Solution Architecture

Role Description The Senior Director of Solution Architecture is a full-time remote role responsible for leading solution and enterprise architecture strategy across Liquid Group’s portfolio. The role includes overseeing the design of complex, scalable solutions for clients, guiding architecture standards, and ensuring alignment with business and technology roadmaps. This position partners closely with consulting and presales teams to shape proposals, lead discovery sessions, and present solution approaches to executive stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring architecture teams, reviewing and approving solution designs, establishing best practices, and collaborating with delivery leaders to ensure feasibility, quality, and long-term maintainability. The Senior Director also contributes to thought leadership, supports key client engagements, and drives continuous improvement in architectural governance and methodologies.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Solution Architecture and Architecture skills, with a track record of designing complex, integrated enterprise solutions. Candidates should possess deep Enterprise Architecture expertise, including governance, standards, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and alignment with business strategy. Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including stakeholder management, requirements discovery, executive communication, and advisory capabilities. Candidates should possess Presales experience, including solution scoping, proposal development, RFP/RFI responses, and presenting solutions to prospective clients. Extensive experience leading architecture teams or practices in a senior leadership role. Strong understanding of cloud platforms, integration patterns, security, and scalability considerations. Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
